Yeah, I know. It´s been a while...got no excuse so I´m not going to bore you with one...especially since I´m not in the best of moods right now.

Okay, to get started, I love MMORPG´s (Or any RPG for that matter). Absolutely love them to death. I like the freedom most online multiplayer games can bring and occasionally the social stuff from it aswell. I´m a bit of a dreamer who spends most her time of in her own little fantasy world so pretending to be someone else while bashing some poor monsters skull in is perfect for me. I´m good at it too. I don´t want to brag but when it comes to Roleplaying I can come up with interesting characters and stick to their personality´s, even in online games. I have played enough different MMORPG´s to know how to handle myself in it aswell and I mostly have a lot of fun in guilds or factions. I`m one of those nice players who will lend a hand if you need one and won`t go looking for trouble with others unless they really need a virtual spanking.

That is, until I booted up my latest MMORPG. I have played many RPG`s, from Ragnarok to City of Heroes back to Domo and so on. But this one makes me really want to strangle some of the players, and in strangle I mean in the most gruesome ways.

Being someone who values netiquette apparently means shit with this game. I`m talking about Perfect World, home to some of the biggest asses I have ever known. Lemme explain.

Once in a while you get a quest where you need to defeat a number of a certain monster. All nice and simple you say. Wrong! First you´ll spend a couple of minutes looking for a monster that isn´t being attacked already, since it´s permanently rush-hour in some places. After all, proper netiquette states that if someone is busy with a monster and isn´t calling for help or is in your squad or group then you leave it alone. However, hardly anyone in PW knows anything about Netiquette. As soon as you found what you are looking for you´ll get one strike in before a stronger player swoops in to steal the kill...thus getting all the points and goods. As soon as you point that out then you are ´kindly´ told to take a hike.

And that isn´t the only thing, no...It ranges from usuless bantering and fights in the broadcast, people who just don´t get you really don´t want to join their squad, private messages saying you should die for being a low level and still daring to be in the same faction as them and so on and so on.

I´m I one of the few survivors of a dying breed called decent players or something, or has the servers of wonderfull online games been overrun by little toddlers without manners...Tell me, cause I´m lost and more then a little pissed off that players like that continue to exist.
